This dataset is produced based on the individual-level administrative records collected by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), which is the single source of truth for data on crimes in Malaysia. Besides for operational purposes, this data is reported as part of Malaysia's monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in line with the most recent SDG Global Indicator Framework.
The data is subject to revision in future updates.
